Fiscal Analyst

Freedom Preparatory Academy, one of Utah’s largest charter schools, is looking for a Fiscal Analyst to help manage the day to day financial business of the school and their four campuses. Successful applicants will have a strong background in the area of Utah public education finance. A partial list of duties and qualifications are as follows:

Assist the Director of Finance in prepare financials for yearly audit

Prepare AFR and APR reports

Prepare monthly financials statements

Develop cashflow statements and forecasting

Maintain current year budget

Develop a 3 and 5 year budget

Assist Grant Directors in preparing financial information for grants

Assist Grant Directors in grant reimbursements

Prepare and file DMI and SPED MOE reports

Assist in all aspects of our bonding covenants and ensure they are met

Prepare policies in conjunction with recommended USBE best practices

Preferred consideration will be given to applicants who have worked in the field of public finance/accounting for a minimum of 10 years, specifically in Utah public education finance. Successful applicants will have multi-year experience in using the Pelorus Methods accounting software.

This is a fulltime position with a generous benefits package (health, life, teledoc, dental, vision insurance, and a retirement plan). This person will report to the Director of Finance.
