AmeriCorps Tutors

We are looking for dedicated, reliable, community-minded individuals to serve as AmeriCorps Members and offer students the one-on-one support they need to be successful in school. Some activities include helping students get connected to needed resources, attend school more regularly, get tutoring help, and develop a more positive attitude towards school and learning. Applicants must be a high school graduate and at least 18 years of age.

We have one full time and one part time position available at Freedom Preparatory Academy Secondary Campus in Provo. The contract term is from August 2023-May 2024. The hours for both positions are during the regular school day, 5 days each week. This is essentially an internship that offers a modest living allowance and a generous education award to pay for education-related expenses. Tutors are assigned to work with specific classes to offer support to individual students as directed by the teacher. Comprehensive training provided by AmeriCorps.
