Elementary School Curriculum
Freedom Preparatory Academy uses the highly acclaimed and academically rigorous Core Knowledge Sequence, Eureka Math, and Wonders literacy curriculum to ensure that our students meet and exceed the Utah State Core Curriculum. We hire certified teachers and provide extensive training in implementing these curricula. Students also study physical education, computers, and STEM/robotics. Students participate in our Leader in Me program that develops effective, happy children with strong leadership skills. We have a full-service library for the students to use on a daily basis. Freedom Preparatory Academy elementary students receive a strong foundation in all academic areas to build upon as they continue their educational journey and become responsible citizens.
Core Knowledge is built upon the principle that in order to understand the world around you; you must have a background knowledge of history, science, art, and music. Core Knowledge provides a systematic sequence of grade-specific content, becoming more sophisticated and detailed in each successive grade. This sequential building of knowledge not only helps ensure that children enter each new grade with the knowledge necessary to be successful, but also helps prevent repetition and gaps.
